Instead it can be located in the game’s files which you can access by right clicking on Company of Heroes 3 in your Steam library, then going to Manage and clicking on Local Files like so –Īfter which you will land here and find the EE – The problem however is that unlike the CoH2 modding tools, it’s not listed under the Tools section of Steam. Make sure there is a space after the " and before the -.ħ- Use this shortcut to launch the game. The Essence Editor (will be abbreviated to EE for short) is basically both the CoH2 modding tools and WorldBuilder (map maker) combined into a single application, for convenience I suppose. Browse to the RelicCOH exe located in the COH directory and select it.Ħ- Right click on the shortcut, select properties, and in the target field amend it to look like this: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\RelicCOH.exe" -dev Zoom_Mod. For example: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch.ģ- Move the Data folder (which you just moved into the Company of Heroes Relaunch directory) into the WW2 folder.Ĥ- Create a desktop shortcut (right click on desktop) and select new, then shortcut). This may or may not work, but also causes the game to crash at the main menu before I can launch a game to find out.Ģ- Copy files into the COH steam folder. Tried following TokyoDan's instructions as well and the Zoom_Mod folder doesn't contain the path "Zoom_Mod/Dev". The target is exactly correct and I'm literally looking at the the file it's saying doesn't exist.

Step 6: Setting the shortcut brings up a "path does not exist" response. I tried copying both the data folder and the Zoom_Mod folder just to make sure.Īm I supposed to copy Zoom_Mod to the Steam folder or the contents? The contents have an array of empty data folders that don't exist anywhere in my install directory. Step 3: Copy WHICH files to the Steam folder? What data folder? I copied "Zoom_Mod" to the Steam folder so I'd have to open that folder to copy the data folder, which contradicts the instructions.

Step 2: Done, copied "Zoom_Mod" to the proper directory as instructed. I'm tech savvy, even work in IT, but the instructions on the ModDB page doesn't make any sense nor does the guide in the comments. I can't for the life of me figure out how to install this mod.
